Ainsi Michel Marinus (né en 1960), autodidacte en possession d'une souple technique, célèbre la perestroïka dans de grands formats s'appuyant à la fois sur la géométrie des lignes perpendiculaires et horizontales et sur l'apparition répétée d'un visage féminin.
Le modèle rappelle spontanément la célèbre femme bleue de Labisse, sa large bouche brillante et son regard de guéparde. Le peintre ajoute à ce rébus mi-figuratif mi-abstrait des textes en russe et des perspectives citadines en pleine agitation.
Tout ceci emporte naturellement la sympathie et rejoint le vœu de Rodin :
